Vamina of Melothm: 1483 BCE -15 CE
Vamina doesn't remember much of anything about her early life, having been abandoned by her parents at an early age and taught little. A testament of her resourcefulness, Vamina learned to survive by her wits as an urchin in the Melothmn City of Melas.
While there she had the misfortune of trying to pickpocket Shiri, a spymaster of the local liege, the Silver Prince. Shiri caught the young devil deftly and rather than killing her, as was to be expected in the Infernal Realms, Shiri took the tiny devil in. Shiri gave Vamina her name, raised her as his daughter, and also made her his apprentice when she was old enough to take on an oath.
Vamina of Melothm: 15 - 33
When an assassin came to Melothm from a rival realm, Vamina took it upon herself to investigate the pink-skinned devil. Vamina chose to befriend the devil, posing as a low-tier devil in need of coin. Through this ruse, Vamina discovered Aurinath meant no harm to Senael. Still, Vamina stuck around Aurinath for a while longer, captivated by her. The two became friends and lovers, and eventually Vamina helped Aurinath get an invitation to meet with Senael and his court assassin.
Vamina of Melothm: 33 - 1469
Shortly after Aurinath was introduced to the Silver Prince, Senael had need to send Vamina on a long voyage to relay an important package to King Lucifer. Senael did not wish to send Vamina alone, and chose to allow Vamina to ask Aurinath to accompany her. After the two returned successfully, Senael began to rely on the two repeatedly.
Vamina of Melothm: 1469 - 2012
When Shiri retired shortly after Senael's return from a long sojourn on Earth, Vamina was appointed to Senael's left-hand adviser officially and the Royal Spymaster (unofficially).
Vamina of Melothm: 2012 - Present
When Senael received word that several of the last remaining branch of his descendants had been killed, he dispatched Vamina and Aura down to find their souls and collect them. Newly dispatched souls often take several years to gather enough composure to be recognized for who they were in mortality, but Vamina managed to find Allison Ritter's soul in mere months.
After Allison Ritter's soul was bestowed with a portion of Senael's grace, she was resurrected as the devil Dido. Vamina was tasked with teaching Dido of the infernal realm, its peoples, its politics, and Dido's own newfound power. Through this, she and Dido befriended one another and often still gather to share tea and gossip. As Vamina's role in court is not discussed openly, many servants and fresh nobles at court assume Vamina is Lady Dido's handmaiden as the two are seen together that often.
Vamina is also a strong suspect to be the mythical infernal figure only known as the Dire Shadow.
Supplemental Report
- (Submitted by Four-Eyes) Vamina's lineage is not entirely certain. It is possible she is a Wrath or Greed Devil, but no occult scholars with knowledge of infernal politics seems willing to make any definitive declarations. In fact, some even suggest that she may have some demon in her ancestry - though I doubt any would make such statements to her in person.
- (Submitted by Gremlin) Vamina's lack of birthright and title prevents her from holding official power and rank within the Infernal Hierarchy. However, that has done little to stop her. Though she does exceptionally well to hide it, Vamina still bears a resentment for those who flaunt their power over her. She has a severe distaste for most authority figures, with only those who wield their power with honor and distinction winning her approval and loyalty.
- (Submitted by Four-Eyes) In addition to being the left-hand of the Silver Prince, Vamina is asked to complete other tasks by Senael, often with the aid of Aurinath. These tasks include the honor of escorting Senael's descendants when they visit or first arrive in Melothm (before an official entourage and security detail can be arranged) and handling other sensitive or urgent matters.
