- Janine Melnitz: Sure, whatever! [phone rings, heels clack] Watch some television or something! [pause, clatter] Ghostbusters, Janine speaking... [pause] Uh-huh... Yes. We can help with that. Let me just get some more information from you [papers shuffle, clatter] Is it just a mist, or does it have arms and legs?
- Winston Zeddemore: [sigh, body lowered to couch] ... [pause, click]
- Evan Gibson: Good evening, I'm Evan Gibson.
- Janine Melnitz: Alright, I can dispatch our specialists to you this evening.
- Evan Gibson: Today the entire western seaboard is alive with talk of incidents of paranormal activity.
- Janine Melnitz: How's seven work?
- Evan Gibson: Alleged ghost sightings and supernatural occurrences have been reported all across Rochdale County.
- Janine Melnitz: Great! We'll see you then.
- Evan Gibson: - but the epicenter of it all appears to be right here in Star City.

- Winston Zeddemore: Not a problem. [clatter, footsteps] I'm Winston Zeddemore. I'm here about the job interview?
- Evan Gibson: ...that would rocket past the farm where she grew up.
- Janine Melnitz: Oh! [chuckle, heels clacking] I just need a minute. Let me find Dr. Spengler.
- Winston Zeddemore: Sure... [footsteps]
- Evan Gibson: But now, what are we supposed to do about ghosts? How about giving ghostbusting a try?
- Winston Zeddemore: Hey... Y-you guys are on the news.
- Janine Melnitz: Yeah, we're causing quite the stir. [heels clacking on stairs] Egon?! I got an applicant here!
- Evan Gibson: The controversy builds as more sightings are reported.
- Egon Spengler: [distant:] Can you handle it? I'm... busy...
- Janine Melnitz: Sure... I guess. [heels clack]
- Evan Gibson: Some maintain these professional paranormal eliminators in Star City are the cause of it all.
- Janine Melnitz: [click] That's enough of that... Now, Winston, was it?
- Winston Zeddemore: Yes, ma'am. [footsteps]
- [hands shake]
- Janine Melnitz: [heels clack, papers shuffle] Alright, let's see... Tell me about yourself, Winston. [papers shuffle]
- Winston Zeddemore: I'm, uh, I'm a military veteran. I've been with the Air Force for the last-
- Janine Melnitz: What'd you do with the Air Force?
- Winston Zeddemore: Security, mostly.
- Janine Melnitz: Well, thank you for your service... [papers shuffle] So, let me ask you this... "Do you believe in UFOs, astral projection, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trans-mediums, the Loch Ness monster, and the theory of Atlantis?"
- Winston Zeddemore: [pause] Uh... [chuckle, throat clears] If there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe in anything you say.
- Janine Melnitz: Ooh, good answer. [giggle] I like you.
- Peter Venkman: [large doors open: 2 instances, footsteps] Bring it in...
- Janine Melnitz: One minute... [heels clack]
- [automobile engine running, automobile pulls forward, engine shuts off, car door opens, groan, clatter]
- Ray Stantz: Boy, I've gotta get some sleep. I'm dying. [groans, footsteps]
- Peter Venkman: You don't look good. [footsteps]
- Ray Stantz: I don't? [footsteps]
- Peter Venkman: [footsteps] You've looked better. You didn't used to look like this.
- Janine Melnitz: Here's the paper for the woman out in Lomard. She paid with Daggett Card. [papers shuffle] And here's tonight's worksheet.
- Ray Stantz: [groan] Oh, great! Two more free repeaters. [scoff, chuckle, footsteps]
- Janine Melnitz: Oh, and this is Winston Zeddemore. He's here about the job.
- Ray Stantz: Beautiful! You're hired.
- Winston Zeddemore: ! [chuckle, footsteps] Really?
- Ray Stantz: Ray Stantz. Pete Venkman.
- Peter Venkman: Congratulations. [chuckle]
- Ray Stantz: Can you help me, please?
- Winston Zeddemore: Sure. Sure! Whatcha need, man?
