- Wally West: Hard to believe that's Red Tornado... I mean, it's almost like she regressed.
- Artemis Crock: Wally! That's mean! She hasn't regressed! She's become more human!
- Billy Batson: No-no, I think I see where Wally's coming from. I was on the JLA when we first introduced Red into the League and at that point, uh, she was some sort of almost emotionless machine...
- Wally West: Yeah and then when we were at Mt. Justice with Cyborg, she was this sarcastic computer program... and then as Titans she was like our den-mother or something... and now she's... well, she's Maxine. She's super funny, super smart, super energetic, super... human.
- Artemis Crock: I guess... I still think it's rude to say she's regressed, though. More like, she's... uh... changed? She's not the same person she used to be... but are any of us? Wally, you used to be called Kid Flash and I used to be called Speedy. We've both changed names and costumes! And Billy literally changes into a lightning god just by saying a single word. We all change. Red too.
- Wally West: Yeah... I guess you're right. in either case, I like that she's happy... even almost too happy.
- Billy Batson: Too happy? [scoff] There's no such thing!
- Maxine Hunkel: [rapid footsteps] Hey! [giggles] Whatcha guys doing? Courtney and me were just in that little shop there- which I now remember you saw us go in- and we tried on a ton of cute outfits, but [sigh] we didn't buy anything because it's way overpriced. I mean I like to support the local economy but I'm poor college kid so... y'know, I'm gonna have to shop online. Does that make me a bad person? And since I'm a hero, technically, does that like even out?
- Billy Batson: Uh...
- Artemis Crock: No.
- Wally West: Yes?
- Maxine Hunkel: Mm... Interesting. Well, you guys are useless! Oh... Courtney look! A pet store! Let's go look at the cute critters!
- Courtney Whitmore: [panting] Okay... Just give- [rapid footsteps, gasp, rapid footsteps] -or you can just drag me... Bye, love ya, Billy!
- Artemis Crock: So... Billy... Still say there's no such thing as too happy? Hmm?
