Kim Moss: 1989 - 2005[]

Kim spent most of her life as an only child. She was taken to church every week by her deeply religious mother. Her father was much more secular. Though Kim enjoyed the spiritual aspect of religion, she did not always agree with its restrictions and philosophy. Looking for a faith that better suited her own innate beliefs, Kim began to explore alternative religions. When she came upon Wiccan culture, she began experimenting with that and other pre-Christian pagan belief systems.

Not enjoying this side of her daughter, Kim's mother insisted that Kim be sent to Saint Elias School for Girls. Kim's own mother had graduated from there and convinced Kim's father to join her in signing off on the idea.

Kim Moss: 2005 - 2008[]

At the aforementioned private school, Kim was actually relieved to be out of her parents' house. She engaged in a deeper experimentation to find her true self and further explored Wiccan culture. When she met the rebel girl Muffy, Kim discovered a whole new side of herself she didn't know existed. The two girls became best friends, with Muffy showing Kim how to let loose and Kim teaching Muffy the Wiccan rites and practices.

The two also had ambitions of becoming a rock band, even though they had only begun to play as a means of venting their stress. Muffy and Kim even became teenage lovers for a time before adding Sally McKnight to their musical trio. The three girls' friendship soon became something else as they became a true coven, devoted to the service of their Mistress of the Dark. (Refer to Network Files - Hex Girls for more information)

Luna: 2008 - 2010[]

Kim had the grades to go on to college with an academic scholarship, but she declined to do so as she was too devoted to her coven sisters. Now calling herself "Luna," she became an integral part of the Hex Girls' success as a band as they drove from town to town playing low-key events and gigs, living out of shady motels and even sleeping in their van when funds dried up completely.

During this time in their career, Luna focused her mystical studies on her alchemy, learning to make powerful potions. She also became the coven's go-to healer after some injuries in their early adventures when their Matron decided to send her witches to fulfill an errand. Luna also proved she had the patience and diplomatic ability to handle any of the bothersome bureaucratic entanglements that popped up along the way.

Luna: 2010 - Present[]

When the girls were invited down under to take part in the Vampire Rock Music Festival, Luna had the idea to enlist her father's help in giving the Hex Girls a vampiric look using cosmetic veneer fangs. This decision helped the Hex Girls land a record deal which launched them into fame and fortune... however, five years later, it would bite them in the backside. While in Markovia as part of their world tour, a sudden string of vampire attacks were also happening, the Hex Girls became suspected of vampirism and were arrested. Fortunately, before they were convicted, Mystery Inc. proved their innocence.

Supplemental Report:[]

  • (Submitted by Four-Eyes) Luna is often called the soul of the Hex Girls. Her naturally serene and patient persona makes her easily the calmest of the three witches. For this reason, she prefers to play the role of the Crone in their coven. Though not the most charismatic of the trio, Luna is a social chameleon with a head for long-term strategies and political diplomacy.
  • (Submitted by Four-Eyes) Here are some fun facts about Kim Moss:
    • Her coven name came about as a reference to her nocturnal personality.
    • Kim's father is a dentist and is responsible for the cosmetic veneer fangs which have become part of the Hex Girls' signature look.
    • Kim comes from a biracial family. Her father is white and her mother is African-American. She also has an older adopted sister, but Kim is not all that close to her sister.
    • Kim is a bit of a foodie. She's always open to trying new food and does not mind spending extra to get the best quality food.
    • Kim is the band's primary songwriter, having a real head for music. She also knows how to play the most musical instruments. However, she sings the least amount and talks the least in their public appearances.[1]
