History (Submitted by Four-Eyes)

Demon Hipster Chicks: Origin

The beings known in the present as the "Demon Hipster Chicks" are quite old. Their true origins are lost to obscurity, but we do know they are the daughters of Lilith, or are her descendants (possibly her granddaughters or great granddaughters) and they are quadruplets.

They are likely responsible for the tales of many multiple creatures from different cultures as the four were often sent on assignments all over the world. They were likely responsible for inspiring the tales of Lamia and the later tales of the nagi, the lamiai, the empusa, the mormolykeia, and many of the legends of succubi. They may have even had some of their cruel acts given to the other creatures such as the gorgons or harpies. The three oldest of the sisters may have also been responsible for some of the trend of the triple goddesses found in most ancient cultures.

Demon Hipster Chicks: Details

The Demon Hipster Chicks are easily identified by their gray skin (aside from the colorful scales on their shoulders), their black leathery wings, their pointed ears, and their serpentine features (eyes, tongue, fangs). When operating together, three of the four sisters often synchronize to an unsettling level, causing them to speak in unison or finish each other's sentences without missing a beat.

As succubi, the sisters are not the most subtle seductresses. They are also known for not leaving their victims alive and have been known to devour their victims when they are finished with them. For this reason, they have fallen out of favor in the modern circles of Hell where most demon princes prefer to employ more subtle approaches.

But the daimon sorcerer Matthew Patel has found a use for them and has given the sisters permanent patronage as members of his entourage. He has also given the sisters names, referencing female rock musicians and tends to have them dress to fit this theme which has earned them their current moniker of "Demon Hipster Chicks."

  • Jett: The leader of the sisters, known for her black hair and golden eyes. She is believed to be the smartest of the sisters, with the most powerful sorcery. If Matthew Patel is ever seen in the company of one sister, it is usually this sister, easily considered to be his right hand.
  • Joplin: The sister with purple hair, she's known as the strongest sister.
  • Beni: The sister with blue hair is said to be the fastest and cruelest.
  • Nyx: The runt of the sisters is Nyx, the red-haired/red-eyed sister. She appears to have more of singular identity than her sisters. She is also the only one not to be part of Matthew Patel's harem, as she had already been sworn to mate with the being known as the Beast-With-No-Name. But while she is not Patel's lover, she often works as his agent of chaos.
